During the first few years of a baby’s life, the ability for good sensory integration (the ability to sort, organize, and process sensory input) develops. Babies who are particularly restless and sensory seeking often have a harder time processing sensory input. Often the restlessness causes the baby to have difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep. Some babies also have motor restlessness while awake. It is common for babies to be restless, and it is seen in many babies, but fortunately it is something we can help the baby with in most cases.
To help your baby achieve good sensory integration and thus less restlessness, you can do exercises at home that stimulate the relevant senses. This program will teach you how to do this in a way that is easy to incorporate into everyday life. The program includes specific exercises and a variety of tips to help your baby sleep better.
If you have any further questions about the program or are unsure about anything, please send me a message (maybe attach a short video of your child) via my Instagram @develobaby or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Note: If your child is over two years old and the challenges are more related to sensory sensitivity, I recommend you consider the exercise program DeveloBaby Sensory Integration instead.
